My mom used to have a key ring that was a big, gold mesh circle that sparkled as it dangled from the ignition, and I wanted one just like it. Knowing how much I admired that key ring, my bother surprised me with one for Christmas.
Of all the gifts I received that year, it was my favorite. Sometimes, it’s the little things that bring me the most joy.
Like yesterday when I was browsing PGeveryday, I literally gasped in excitement when I found this laundry symbol chart.
I always think that I’ll remember that it’s one dot for cold or is it one dot for hot? Anyway, I have definitely relied on having a chart handy, but the one I have has seen better days with pages curled up from moisture and the ink dripping from water spills…
It’s definitely time for a new one, but this time I wanted to make it more permanent. I didn’t have a frame, so I decided to repurpose an unused clipboard.
After gluing the chart to the clipboard, I used an empty gift card to smooth out any bubbles,
sealed it in place with a thin coat of sealer,
then hung it in a convenient spot next to the washing machine.
Now I can use it every time I need to remember whether one dot is hot or cold.
Simple! And it’s such a great reference to have on hand that I wanted to share it with you.
Print your own laundry symbol chart and gather your materials either from your local craft store or through my Amazon affiliate links provided below:
and be sure to visit P&Geveryday’s website and Facebook page for more great home and garden tips, beauty trends and even recipes.
See you in class,
p.s. Oh Em Gee! I found a picture and a site that sells my dream key ring!

This is great! I think I really need to pay closer attention to how to wash things instead of just separating into whites and darks!!!
p.s.–I have that same key ring and I luv it!~~Angela

Have you thought of laminating it?
Mrs. Hines says
Yes, laminating is a great option. I didn’t want to buy lamination, so I used what I had on hand. The Modge Podge seals it with a protective coat and has worked really well.
