Today I did something that I’ve been putting off for about four years.
Actually, I didn’t do it. Tami from Curb Alert came to my rescue.
Year after year, I watched as my front door deteriorated, losing it’s luster and deep mahogany color. And every year I’d say to Matt, “We need to refinish the front door.”
This summer really took its toll on the door, and I really couldn’t delay refinishing it any longer. So, when Tami offered to help, I jumped at the chance to have her show me the ropes. After all, she has an impressive portfolio, including refinishing two doors in the last several months.
And did you see what a beautiful job she did on her breakfast table?
Anyway, Tami came over this morning with all of the necessary supplies and we got to work. While she sanded, conditioned and stained my very faded front door, I swept and cleaned the front porch.
Chores are so much more fun when you have a friend to keep you company. Working alongside Tami was the highlight of my day.
I can’t tell you how relieved I feel to finally have the door refinished. Now my porch is refreshed and ready for the Fall Front Porch Tour.
Come back tomorrow to see my porch in all its glory.
